we believe in the social power of coconuts

a story about friendship and connection

Sitting in a basement while waiting out the storm during Hurricane Sandy, friends Yair Tygiel and Luke McKenna realized their shared passion for coconuts.

When Luke moved from his native Australia to Toronto, he opened a slapdash coconut stand to connect with people and make new friends. Yair, on the other hand, hosted all-day coconut hangs in various Brooklyn parks. As they shared their own stints in the coconut business with one another, their vision for CoCo & Co was born.

They immediately got to work by building a bamboo bike to ride around New York selling coconuts, with the dream of bringing people together by throwing tropical parties in the unlikeliest places: on rooftops, in urban parks, and atop the Brooklyn Bridge.

Their coconuts quickly developed a following and the hobby transformed into a business.

we have come a long way since then

As CoCo & Co has grown, we have been fortunate enough to throw our share of tropical parties. We have also worked with some really cool people and clients along the way, making their brands come alive in coconut form – what a sight!

We have also invested in our own farm in Sri Lanka—a redevelopment effort in partnership with war affected communities—with more products on the way.

With offices on both coasts, CoCo & Co is ready to service clients in major cities like LA, San Francisco, Austin, and Miami.

But you’ll still find Luke, Yair, and their awesome crew doing what they love most: spreading the very best coconut vibes at parties, music festivals and in stores nationwide.
